Visual identity  ·  August 2026  ·  How it is used

The Brand the Fellowship shows

How to use the mark, the gradient, type, and photography, and how not to. The artwork is the supplied files, not a redraw.

Principles

Three ideas. Everything else is a consequence of them.

01

Human-first

Authentic. Human. Connected. First names, cities and faces.

02

One gradient

Rose, coral, amber. Surfaces stay near-neutral so the gradient is the only accent.

03

Dual theme

data-theme. Colour crossfades in 0.9s. Opacity and transform stay still.

The AI Fellowship

A warm, human system for a global AI community

Opening a page

Eyebrow, then one headline. The gradient touches a short phrase, not the whole sentence.

Signature gradient

One 135 degree gradient. Primary buttons, statistic numerals, short clipped headlines, invitation banners.

Gradient numeral

A number, or two to five words, at 28px and above.

AI for every human

Clipped phrase

The rest of the line stays ink.

Your city's chapter is waiting for someone to start it.

No experience required. Just curiosity and a room to gather in.

One banner

24px radius. One promise, one action.

Do

  • Build gradients from Off Red, Muted Orange and the elevator oranges and yellow. Black is allowed.

Do not

  • Never build a gradient from Warm Purple or Blue Spark.
  • Do not run two gradients in one viewport, and do not set paragraphs on the gradient.

Typography

Helvetica Neue for titles, UI and body. Roboto when a line needs to be louder. No serif.

The AI Fellowship

Do

  • Negative tracking scales with size: -0.03em hero, -0.025em section, -0.02em stats, -0.01em banner headings.
  • Positive tracking is only for uppercase micro-labels: 0.15em eyebrows, 0.10em stat labels.
  • Helvetica Neue leads. Roboto is the loud moment: a manifesto line, a headline number, a call to action.

Do not

  • No serif. Do not letter-space lowercase body. Nothing below 11px.

Colour

Off Red does the work. Everything else stays quiet so colour always means something.

Under 18px, rose text uses Off Red Dark.

A room, a city, a chapter.

Section break

Printed primary, #DA5A3A. White type, one line, then back to a neutral surface.

Do

  • Off Red for anything interactive. Elevators only when a section needs a hard break.

Do not

  • Do not use Discord #5865F2, Warm Purple or Blue Spark as a button or a link.
  • Do not set small type in Muted Orange or Blue Spark.

Theme surfaces

Components read variables. They do not hard-code a surface, so the toggle restyles the page.

Do not

A chapter page

Nav, one headline, a stat rail, then the city ticker. One gradient, on the numerals.

Your city's chapter is waiting for someone to start it.

Invitation

24px radius. The full-bleed closer uses 32px and roomier padding.

Light

Colour only

Theme toggle

44 by 24 pill. The knob uses the standard easing.

Atmosphere

Abstract Liquid: two or three blurred orbs. Never a photograph behind the logo.

Behind type only

Orbs never sit behind the mark.

Photo and imagery

Photographs are of people. The gradient, the orbs, and the mark do the graphic work. A photo does not.

01

Real people

Members, in daylight, mid-conversation. First name and city in the caption. Not a handshake, a robot, or a neon grid.

02

Consent first

A written yes before a face is published. Nothing of a minor outside the safeguarding rules in the event framework.

03

Leave the photo alone

Natural colour. No gradient mapped onto a person, no filter that shifts skin tone, no mark sitting on a face.

The crop

Eyes in the upper third. Do not cut through the eyes, the mouth, or the chin. Leave air around the head.

If the picture needs a caption, set it in Helvetica Neue under the frame: name, city, one line. The frame is 20px radius, the same as a card.

Where a photo may sit

A story, a chapter page, a post. Never as a background for the logo, and never with type baked into the file.

Do

  • Use a photograph of a real member who has agreed to be shown, with their name and city.
  • Keep the file clean. Crop in the layout, not by exporting type or the logo into the picture.

Do not

  • Do not use stock handshakes, generated faces presented as members, or a photo behind the mark.
  • Do not recolour a person with the brand gradient, and do not run a heavy filter over skin.

Social banners and posts

Use these files for LinkedIn and for banner grounds. Do not redraw the wave, and do not sit the logo on the colour.

Do and don't

The short version, if you remember nothing else.

Do

  • One gradient element per viewport.
  • Read every surface from theme variables.
  • Name real people and real places.
  • Use the supplied mark and the two-line wordmark.

Do not

  • Do not set small rose text at #E44E73. Use #C73D60.
  • Do not invent a third button or a new gradient.
  • Do not animate opacity during the theme change.
  • Do not redraw, recolour or rotate the logo.
